But what do the terms "virus" and "pandemic" even mean? Through her colourful pictures and short informative texts, Ziska Riemann explains to her preschool and primary schoolaged audience why it is that during a pandemic we need to adjust our everyday lives to confront the new challenges, and how, despite the many restrictions, children and their families in fact have an opportunity to discover their surroundings afresh. The aim of course is that we all remain healthy, or recover successfully, so that soon we will be able to play together, learn, work and travel freely once again.

Riemann, Ziska Born in Munich in 1973, Ziska Riemann is a comic book artist, screenplay writer and director. Since 1991 she has published comic albums, four of them in collabora-tion with Gerhard Seyfried. In 1999 she was awarded the Drehbuchwerkstatt Mün-chen (Munich Screenplay Workshop) scholarship, and in 2001 the Tankred-Dorst-Drehbuchpreis (Tankred Dorst Screenplay Prize) for her script for "Die Hunde sind schuld" ("It's the dog's fault"). She has written and directed three films: "Lollipop Monster", "Electric Girl" and "Get Lucky". www.ziskariemann.de
